Privacy policy

RetirePal is a free website run by an individual based in Serbia (the “operator”, “we”). We built it to work without collecting personal data. This policy explains exactly what does and does not happen when you use it.
What we do not collect
We have no accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter and no server-side database of visitors. Everything you type into a calculator, converter or tool is processed in your own browser and is not sent to us.
Data stored on your device (localStorage)
Some tools save your last inputs, preferences or your cookie choice in your browser’s localStorage so they are still there next time. This stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can delete it at any time by clearing site data in your browser. Storing your consent choice is strictly necessary to respect it.
Hosting and analytics (Cloudflare)
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-less and does not track you across sites; it gives us only aggregated statistics (page views, referrers, countries). See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Advertising (Adsterra)
This site shows display ads from Adsterra and the advertisers and ad-tech partners it works with. When ads load, these third parties receive technical data from your browser (such as IP address, browser/device type, the page URL and timestamps) and may set or read cookies or similar identifiers to serve, cap, measure and prevent fraud on ads. They act under their own privacy policies; we do not receive personal data from them, only aggregated revenue reports.
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland: ads are only loaded after you click Accept in our consent banner (legal basis: consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / UK GDPR and ePrivacy rules). If you reject, no ad scripts load. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings in the footer.
Visitors elsewhere (including California / other US states): ads load by default. Some US state laws (e.g. CCPA/CPRA) may treat ad cookies as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out at any time with the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer; we also honour this choice when you reject ads in the banner. We do not knowingly sell personal information of anyone under 16.
International transfers
Cloudflare and ad partners may process data outside your country (e.g. in the US); they rely on their own transfer safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, UK GDPR, Serbian data-protection law (ZZPL) and US state privacy laws you may have rights to access, delete, correct or object to processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data-protection authority (e.g. your EU supervisory authority, the UK ICO, or Serbia’s Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection). Because we hold no personal data about individual visitors, we usually cannot identify you; ad-related data is held by the ad partners, so the quickest way to exercise rights over it is the Cookie settings / opt-out links above, clearing your cookies, or contacting Adsterra directly.
Children
The site is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 16.
